Laax Switzerland was my next stop on my little tour of the world..

The Slopestyle for the Burton open was supper fun but pretty tech so I did not get the run down during the comp and ended up finishing the comp in 19th.

My train to Laax was shredding though the European Alps at 160km/h witch ment I was in Austria for breakfast and riding in Laax for lunch.

Don't get into one of these tram lifts that fit 150 people if your claustrophobic. This was only half full.

Second jump in the Burton open slopestyle.

Shelly Gotlieb got 5th at the slopestyle and was killing it all week. Casual back 5 on the last jump.

I missed out on finals by 3 spots so i had a few days to explore the mountain and do some cartwheels.

More Shelly shredding.

Me checking out the mini park.

Random pipe rider sending it.

The after party for the Open in Laax was nothing short of amazing with "The Sounds", Putting on a wicked concert.

The second half on the front row.

After Laax I got to spend a day in the beautiful city of Zurich.

There is so much history here.

And Switzerland knows how to make chocolate.

Just ask Shelly what flavor is best. (all of them)

Bulls and balls.. ha. Pure art.

Shelly.

More buildings. love them.

Europe for some culture.

Well dew tour went well in qualis and semis.. But than I could not put it together in the finals so i ended up in 12th.. but still got a good little pay cheque. I have to say it was the best comp I have ever been in.. The park was amazing and it seamed like you could learn tricks by accident in mid air because there was so much time touching that sky.. Good times.

Than it was Xmas, I spent it in Planes and Trains to get to Austria for the European experience.

I'm a big fan of European architecture and culture so I had a bit of a walk around Frankfurt.

And this is the currency that seams to be the strongest in a global financial crises.

More buildings.

Church.

And than after 2 nights of training for getting alcoholic. New Years was upon us and after a good 5 minutes of reflecting that I had spent the last decade in an obsession with snowboarding I ended up having a great Traditional Austrian Steak dinner with my host family here in Mayrhofen and after a schnaps or two for dessert it was time to head to town for an amazing new years....

This must have been about 10pm and things started to get a little hazy about here with another solid 8 hours of partying to go.

A Kiwi and two Dutchess

And yes I have been snowboarding too... Had a few fun pow days and some epic park sessions.

Henry always keeps you on your toes and a smile on your face.

Well thats it for now, all smiles and good times here. Ill let you know what happened to me again soon.
